Quarterlife: An Evening with Devika Rege
Delivered in partnership with The Polis Project and Dialogue Books, join Wasafiri for a special evening with authors Devika Rege and Pankaj Mishra to mark the London launch of Rege’s acclaimed debut, Quarterlife.
Hailed as a ‘landmark novel’ when it was first published in South Asia, Devika Rege’s Quarterlife is a reflective narrative about India’s political pulse and changing value systems. Following a mosaic of characters amidst a shifting socio-political landscape, it offers a thoughtful exploration of identity and the dynamics of societal transformation.
Pankaj Mishra will join Rege in a wide-ranging conversation on fiction’s relationship to power, the ethics of writing across difference, and the role of the novel in a politically fractured time.
Tickets include a welcome drink. Be sure to add a copy of Quarterlife to your booking. A book signing will follow the discussion.
When: Friday, 6 June, 2025. 6.30-8pm
