Anita Barton-Williams is a PhD researcher and translator working in French and English. Her research specialises in the translation of Black literature, informed by Black feminist theory, with a focus on Caribbean writing, language, and identity.

She is the founder of BLKTRNET: The Black Translators’ Network, supporting and amplifying Black translators globally.
