Florian Stadtler
Florian Stadtler is Senior Lecturer in Literature and Migration at the University of Bristol. From 2010-2022 he was Reviews Editor of Wasafiri, after which he joined the Board of Trustees. He is an expert in British South Asian Film, History and Literature, as well as South Asian Writing and Indian Popular cinema. He has edited two special issues for Wasafiri: The Magazine of International Contemporary Writing – India in Britain: Cross-Cultural Encounters, which highlights the vibrant South Asian publishing culture of 1930s-40s Britain; and Writing Hong Kong (co-edited with Jeffrey Mather). He is the editor of Salman Rushdie in Context and co-investigator on the AHRC-funded project, Remaking Britain: South Asian connections and networks, 1830s to the present.
