Hitomi Yoshio
Hitomi Yoshio is a literary translator whose publications include Natsuko Imamura’s This Is Amiko, Do You Copy? (Pushkin Press, 2023) and Mieko Kawakami’s Ashes of Spring (Amazon Audible, 2025; co-translation).
Her translation of Kawakami’s Dreams of Love, Etc. is forthcoming from Knopf in 2027. She has also translated widely in literary magazines, including works by modern Japanese authors such as Higuchi Ichiyō, Osaki Midori, and Uchida Hyakken.
