Kareena Gianani

Kareena Gianani is an Indian journalist and a CHASE-funded Creative Writing PhD candidate at the University of East Anglia. She is writing a lyric essay collection about long-distance love and how it shapes women’s freedom, work, and migration in a globalised world. Refracted through her decade-long partnership across London, Bombay, Singapore, St. Louis, and Kerala, the project explores everyday textures and alienations within intimacies shaped by distance, technology, and borders. Before moving to Norwich, Kareena was a Teaching Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated with an MFA in Creative Nonfiction.
