Maria del Pilar Kaladeen

María del Pilar Kaladeen specialises in the history of Indian indentured labour in the Caribbean. She is the co-editor of the Journal for the Study of Indentureship and its Legacies and has collaborated in the production of two anthologies of writing on this subject. Her non-fiction has appeared in The Conversation, The Funambulist, and Wasafiri and she has worked with a number of institutions in the UK to promote a wider understanding of the use of Indian indentured labour in the British Empire.
