Nazik Armenakyan is an award-winning Armenian photographer and founder of documentary photography centre 4Plus. Armenakyan’s focus is on social narratives, specifically relating to those on the margins of Armenian society. She has authored two books — the Վերապրածներ / Survivors (2015) photo essay, and The Stamps of Loneliness / Մենակության շտամպը (2016), about a transgender community in Yerevan. Armenakyan’s photographs have been published in The New York Times, Der Spiegel, Le Monde, and Politiken, among others.
