Paula Teixeira Moláns
Dr Paula Teixeira Moláns is a Galician researcher, linguist and teacher. She earned her doctorate in Linguistics from the University of Glasgow (2024). Her thesis documented deep semantic structures of traditional Galician in elderly speakers and how increased language contact with Spanish is resulting in severe language assimilation in younger generations.
Paula also holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of A Coruña and a degree in Galician Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Paula is currently a Research Associate in Sociolinguistics at the University of Glasgow, for the Horizon Europe-funded project 'Strategies to strengthen European linguistic capital in a globalised world'.
