Simon Peter Eggertsen
Simon Peter Eggertsen came very late to poetry, after a career in international health. Even so, his work has been widely published – Nimrod, Spoon River Poetry Review, The New Quarterly (Canada), Ekphrasis, Vallum (Canada), Southword (Ireland) and beyond – and has had several poems shortlisted or named finalists for notable prizes: the Neruda, the Frost, the Plough (UK), the Bridport (UK), and, recently, the Merton Prize for Poetry of the Sacred. He has degrees in literature, language, and law. He lives in Montreal.
